I would love to have a job that has something to do with art. I don't like boring jobs that's always repetitive. That's why I like art.
You get to create something everyday.

I have a lot to learn about everything though. It'd be nice to do something with manga too, combination of story telling and drawing.

I highly recommend the career of Geotechnical Laboratory Technician. You get to wear a lab coat and squash soil all day. Nice, what more could you want?

as for me.. i wanted to go to japan too(of course! all of us wants to..!)

but for now..i have to concentrate on my job so the japanese studios will pick our studio to be their 2nd animation studio in the philippines.. and the next step..ill go to japan and work there as an animator or something thats related to it!

Oooooh roovette! you work in an animation studio? thats awesome! Right now i'm in art school and majoring in 2D animation, so can i ask how its like in that industry? :D

yes.. were a sub studio of TOEI Animation Phils.. im in 2d too!!! we can all get together huh?! this is fun!

so whats ur lesson now?? about inbetweening or being an animator??

im a inbetweener and im training to be an animator...

im also acolor ARTist.. but im incapable of 3d.. (poor me).... but i say im an "all around" employee!

Oooooh *looks in awe* wow an inbetweener! Well i just got out of highschool and jumped into my art school but so far i've learn foundation classes and introduction to experimental animation, also 2 classes of 3D animation classes, but i can see that i wasn't very fond of 3D using maya so i feel that a 2D animator was more my choice since i love to do the actual drawing than rather making models out of a 3D program. So all in all, i'm very new to the whole system but i've learn a little and later as i finish my foundation classes and more indepth with specific animation classes i'll be a bit more better. Since i'm still refining my drawing skill in various media. ^ - ^ but thats soo cool that you work in a studio. I know that projects are group based but can you tell me how its like? since i'm taking a animation portfolio this coming fall, and that will help be more aware of the situation. I also, keep seeing people wanting to be a 3D animator, which is no problem, but i feel that 2D animation shouldn't be forgotten.

sorry if i had to reply on this a little late.. gomen!

so your fond of 2d?! that's good!!!!!
wee on the same track! its quite busy for us inbetweeners to budget our tym.. that's why i didnt logged in here at UN for almost 6days bcoz im working at our studio.. that means i didnt go home for 6 days!...its always like that so dont be shocked...its fun drwaing some anime! and after that you can see your work on TV and internet!

btw, i drop out on college/school too...i took architecture but its not what i wanted to have.. so i follow my heart! !!!so i enrolled on a animation school.. after 1 month.. they ask me if i want to work with their company so i accepted it!

you can ask me about some difficulties of 2d animation.. esp. for ur upcomming portfolio.i hope you have a very good outcome of your work.. we can show each other's work.. i know youve seen mine!!!! on tv or internet!

Awww no problem, i know how busy it could get....yea...ooooh that s lucky of you to get to work with the studio after only a month. :3 And yes i', still improving everyday, but i've had a big improvement since last month, especially in my figure drawing, because i really suck at figure but once i get the fundamentals down, it turns out to be better. I'm getting the porportions, and body shape of the figure with charcoal and also pencil, which i'm happy. So now i draw human figures with much more confidence than before. Yes, it'll also be cool to show each other works :D
