I'm a little upset with China. They've clearly lied about the ages of some of their gymnasts. I watched the All Around Finals last night, and it even said on the screen that the girl who screwed up her vault was 14 and another athlete was 15.
Granted, it doesn't matter much now considering China got a bronze, and U.S. medaled gold & silver both, but it still isn't fair or safe that they could've most likely fudged the girls' passports. There's an age limit for a reason. That also really screws with the integrity of the entire Olympic games and committee.
Not to rag on China as a whole, just the gymnastic part. The girls -are- wonderful athletes, but if their ages were changed on legal documents so that they could qualify for the team, it puts a lot at stake.
Didn't they say the girls were all in the age limit?
Just quoting from the commentators:
"Just think, why would China use some one younger, with less experience, instead of someone who's older, with more experience?"
I don't know, the girls look like sixteen to me. I've seen Chinese girls who looks like 12 but in reality is 16-17.
like i say b4 asian ppl don't age yo!!
