I was born in Fukushima which is in the Tohoku region on Honshu. Its a country side famous for hot springs and peaches. I moved to Hawaii when I was about 5 and been going back and forth. I got my education in Hawaii though and after graduating high school, I moved to Yokohama... in Kanagawa, right outside of Tokyo. Thats where my step-father is from. I lived and worked there for 3 years and moved back to Hawaii this past July.
Are you going to school now or planning to go back?
Well I got married in August & I just got my greencard. I'm planning to go back to school hopefully next semester.
Quote:Akiko, where did you get your avatar from? Do you have the original pic? I love it. Thanks.
Yeah this is my picture I took with Utada at the meet & greet here in Hawaii. I cropped me and my husband out of it.
Bump for last notice.Sorry if I made you click this,Akiko.I didn't quote you purposely.

Everyone tells me the way I write my name is different and rare. My kanji for Aki also reads as ken. My name is supposed to mean accessories or something like that. I don't really know why my parents named me this. I heard my dad named me but I don't know... I haven't seen him in years and I don't want to ask my mom about it. My great-grandma who took care of my mom was named Aki, but I think the kanji was different. Though she was overjoyed when I was named Akiko.
